Abdi-Ashirta of Amurru(ca.1385 - ca.1344)Abdi-Ashirta was prince of Amurru, in the coastal plain of Syria. He was an enemy of the Egyptian ally Ribaddi of Byblos, and was finally violenty removed during the reign of Amenhotep III by Egyptian troops after warnings had failed to stop his conspiracies. He was among the foreign princes mentioned in the Amarna letters. |
